Angel investors choose their investments according to various criteria, including the entrepreneur’s ability to successfully sell a unique product and service that has a strong potential for success.
In addition, some entrepreneurs possess certain winning qualities over others that attract angels to their projects. Some of these characteristics include:
The 4 C’s- confidence, competence, communication, and conceptualization
Successful entrepreneurs are strong-minded, self-assured individuals who take pride in their projects. They are experts in their field of industry and possess strong communication skills (verbal and writing), especially when it comes to selling their product/service.
These entrepreneurs freely exchange their ideas and opinions with investors, their management team, board members, etc. Furthermore, they have a knack for envisioning unique ideas, can identify complex situations, and offer quick solutions to existing problems.
The 3 P’s- passion, persistence, and pragmatism
Successful business owners have a sincere passion and enthusiasm for their profession - qualities that are highly regarded by many angel investors. In addition, they are also persistent individuals, especially when it comes to bringing forth viable ideas and concepts. They are also pragmatic persons who have a realistic approach in life, especially when it comes to their company.
The 2 F’s- focused and flexible
Another striking attribute that successful entrepreneurs share is their focused mind-set. They are aware of their company’s mission and they meticulously address what needs to be done in order to achieve this mission.
They also have the capability to adapt to different modifications throughout their company’s cycle, especially when it comes to strategy, and are able to properly readjust in order to meet those changes
Capital Investment
Often, angel investors expect a percentage of stock and/or a board seat when investing in a company.
While this may seem like a fair exchange on an investment, some overly controlling entrepreneurs have the need to dominate and direct, and may not embrace the idea of giving up a portion of their company.
However, successful business owners have the tendency to welcome the participation of angel investors to their company, especially when it comes to seeking advice and mentorship since many angels were once successful entrepreneurs.
The valuable insight that an angel investor can provide a young company may mean the difference between a struggling business and a prosperous one.

Feedback
Investors are able to leave annonymous feedback on projects. This helps entrepreneurs look at their projects with objectivity, and shape their plans to attract the right investor matching their needs and profile.
How does it work?
1) The Entrepreneur logs on and completes his/her Profile to include information such as the amount of capital needed, specific industry sector, business stage and the region in which the business is located.
2) Once completed, the entrepreneur submits his/her project to our pannel for review. Angel Holdings then advises on areas of the business plan that may need attention. Following this, the plan is made live for investors to view.
3) Should the project be in need of mentoring, Angel Holdings will pass it on to the relevent business mentor. Mentors are matched with projects to ensure maximum benifit to both the mentor and entrepreneur. Criteria used are language, country, industry, experience, etc.
4) Should Investors express an interest, they are able to respond and review additional company documents (which can be uploaded onto our secure server). The Investor will make contact with the entrepreneur directly through the contact details provided.
5) Strict "Terms and Conditions of Use," non-disclosure and privacy policies are adhered to in order to keep data secure.
Who sees my company Profile?
The only Investors that can view your information are venture capital firms and accredited angel Investors. No registered brokers, investment banks, vendors or other entrepreneurs may read the online information.
Do you list who the investors are?
The biggest challenge faced by Investors is being spammed with deals that are "thrown over the transom" via random contact. Hence, we protect the privacy of our registered Investors via a process that controls access and information sharing.
Will my information be sold? Will you spam me?
Angel Holdings does NOT sell or rent any data from within our system, nor do we send out any unsolicited third-party emails. We also promise not to spam you. However, we may send an occasional e-mail about your account or our services.
Does Angel Holdings receive stock in my company?
No. We only receive fees from paid subscriptions and our related product and service offerings.
Are the payments monthly?
Our fees are once off fees. With Angel Holdings our payment model is simple and transparent. We take no finder's fees, brokerage fees, investment banker fees or success fees.
Are you a broker/dealer?
No. Angel Holdings is not a broker/dealer nor does not act in any capacity as one.
How many Investors do you have?
Angel Holdings maintain a select group of Investors that have been fully vetted against the highest of standards. Unlike other companies, we focus on the quality of our investor community versus the quantity of persons on our roster.
Someone may try to copy my business idea. Is that possible if I sign up with Angel Holdings?
These concerns are understandable. However, this tactic usually is not generally acted on by Investors due to the potential for litigation. You might consider revealing only the information necessary to gain interest and/or ask the Investor sign a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement. But use this request judiciously. This is typically viewed as a "rookie move" in the eyes of professional capital providers.
